Monster Crocodile Turns Cannibal, Eats Smaller Rival

Tourists were shocked to see a giant crocodile eating a smaller one as they took a tour at Kakadu National Park, Australia.

The group and their guide who spotted the reptiles at first thought they were fighting but when they got closer, they realised that a five-metre crocodile chowed down on a two-metre crocodile. The horrifying images were posted to Kakadu Tourism’s Facebook page, accompanied by the text: “Beauty… AND THE BEAST. You never know what you’re going to see on Yellow Water, Kakadu.”

Nikki Davies, a tour guide, who took the photos commented on the incident saying: “At first we thought they were fighting, but as we went around the corner a bit more you could see what had happened. He’d just sunk his teeth into the brain and eyes which was horrible because we could still see it alive. I think it was about showing off who’s the boss in the area. It was an evident reminder of supreme power of nature.”

The monster fish called Artcic lampreys have been found by residents of Fairbank scattered all over the city. One was found wriggling in the parking lot of a store, three others were discovered on their lawns. However, fish experts assure that there is no danger from the fish and locals have nothing to worry about.

Commenting on the situation, Mike Taras of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game said: “The answer is probably gulls. Gulls are picking them out of the Chena River with their bills and then dropping the squirming critters while in flight.

Arctic lampreys spawn in the Chena River, and live in the mud underwater as juveniles for several years, many lifelong Alaskans have never seen one of these fascinating fish up close because their body shape and feeding habits make them difficult to catch.”

Fish experts assure that there is no danger from the fish and locals have nothing to worry about

The Arctic lamprey is usually about 13 to 32 centimetres but specimens have been known to reach 63 centimetres and 200 grams in weight. The adult is generally a parasitic feeder that attaches to other fish species and sucks its blood and other bodily fluids. What is even more interesting is that lamprey is a commercially important edible fish with fatty flesh, it’s a seasonal delicacy in Alaska.

Some Friends Explored an Abandoned Missile Silo. What They Found is Nightmarish.

There are things you see in movies that you would never do in real life. Near the top of that list might be exploring dark, creepy, and abandoned places. That's exactly what these friends decided to do.

Last week, a group of friends thought it would be a good idea to explore an abandoned Titan I Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) silo in the Colorado countryside. To say these pictures are creepy is a vast understatement. Just wait until you see the "hydraulic fluid" they found.

Here are the friends approaching the entrance to the silo. This is already getting creepy.

Archaeologists find 2,600-year-old Celtic Princess in Germany

Celtic Princess who died in 609 BC unearthed

German archaeologists discovered a Celtic grave in the Danube heartland when they found the remains of a Celtic princess, from 2,600 years ago, buried with her gold and amber jewelry.

The princess had remained in her final resting place since about 609BC. Just months ago the German experts began to dig out the 80 tonnes of clay covering the grave to remove it bring it their offices where it could be examined.
Experts believe that the manner that she was buried, with expensive jewels, shows that she was of a high social rank. The brooches found are particularly beautiful with Celtic designs in gold and amber. According to BBC reports the remains of a child were also found in the grave. The child is presumed to be the princess'.
The entire grave and the surrounding clay were unearthed, put onto a truck and transported to the office of archaeological service of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart. The grave, incased in concrete, ended its journey in the back garden of the offices protected by a tent.

They will now use X-rays to examine the find. On the scene, from the top of the hole they had dug, archaeologists found bones and jewels but now modern resources will allow them a more in depth and delicate examination of the grave.
Those working on the grave believe that the remains belong to a Celtic princess and their child, a prince or princess. However this matter is a point of dispute among archaeologists.
Dr Dirk Krausse, who is the lead on the dig, said "It is the oldest princely female grave yet from the Celtic world…It is the only example of an early Celtic princely grave with a wooden chamber."
The grave was preserved in the water-logged soil. It is so intact that they have been able to put an exact date on the woman's death. The oak they found in the floor of the chamber was felled 2,620 years ago. Assuming they were cut down specifically to build the chamber, the princess died in 609BC. Also surprisingly the grave had not been robbed over the last 2,600 years.
Working from above the grave, in the tent, Nicole Ebenger-Rest, has been doing much of the excavation. She has uncovered the teeth of the Celtic princess as well as specks of cloth, food or other organic matter which may reveal a great deal about the Celts way of life.
She said it's difficult to relate to and fathom that fact that this woman lived 26 centuries ago. She said "It is a skeleton but it's still a human being so you have a natural respect…It's a natural respect between two people."

Woman gives birth in Internet cafe and continues playing video games

A woman who loves to play video games, is making headlines after giving birth at an Internet cafe.

The woman of Jiangxi, China, gave birth in the toilet of the Internet cafe and returned to her computer.

Workers at the Internet cafe in Nanchang, went to the bathroom after hearing a baby crying. They saw a pool of blood near the door.

Workers were concerned about the baby, but soon learned that the mother, who had just given birth, was in the bathroom cradling a newborn.

The baby's umbilical cord was still attached to the mother.

Workers rushed to the phone to call an ambulance, but the new mother was relaxed about the whole ordeal. While waiting for the ambulance to take her to the hospital, she returned to her computer to continue playing games.

When the paramedics arrived, she refused to get on the gurney and walked to the ambulance herself.

The 24-year-old mother is now recovering in the hospital with her baby.
