Governor Obiano Is Responsible For Deaths Of IPOB, MASSOB Members

Members of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) accused Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state of involvement into killings of people who were jubilating the release Nnamadi Kanu on bail in front of Abuja Federal High Court.

In a statement signed by MASSOB leader Uchenna Madu in Enugu on Wednesday, the group stated the following: “We hold Governor Willie Obiano responsible for the killings, arrest, torture, maiming and wounding of non violent, peaceful IPOB, MASSOB members at Ontisha jubilation over the news of Nnamdi Kanu’s court release order.”
“During Obiano’s condolence visit to Hausa residents in Onitsha over the touching of Mosque by sponsored hoodlums, Obiano sympathized with them without mentioning or comiscerating with non-violence Biafran agitators killed, arrested and tortured by security agents. He tactically gave them back up to clampdown and disperse non-violence MASSOB, IPOB members,” the statement further said.
Unchenna Madu also stated that people were killed because Obiano gave an order to kill protesters.
“This executive order prompted and motivated the army to kill, maim, arrest many of our members in Ontisha including those killed on the day of jubilation,” the statement read.
