Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister Enters Guiness World Book Of Record, Read How

In a rather bizarre manner, Nigeria’s new minister of state for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, has entered the Guiness World Book of Record.
Kachikwu, who recently replaced cancer-stricken Diezani Allison-Madueke as the president of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), was replaced barely three days after the new development took effect, thus becoming the shortest-serving president of the organisation.
Nigeria’s minister of state for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu has been ousted as OPEC president
National Helm reports that during the 168th ordinary meeting of the organisation in Vienna, Austria, a fresh election was conducted and Mohammed Al Sada was elected to succeed Kachikwu as the president.
Thus, Kachikwu was the president of the international body for only two days, a record which may have landed his name in the world book of records.
There were recent reports that the minister may be invited by the Nigerian Senate to explain the reason for the ongoing fuel scarcity which has bitten deep into the Nigerian economy in recent months.
