My Uncle Ate With A Top APC Chieftain - Audu's Relative

News broke yesterday, Sunday, November 22, that the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Kogi state, Abubakar Audu, was dead.
According to reports, Audu passed away in the early hours of Sunday before the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the results of the election, declaring the election inconclusive. In the results declared, Audu was clearly leading. He died in his home town, Ogbonicha, in Ofu local government area of the state.
The Trent reports that members of deceased APC guber candidate are suspecting foul play in the death of the former two-time governor. Close family sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that the politician had stomach ache before going to bed on Saturday night and he suffered a stroke on Sunday morning at about 5am and died. In tears, the source said:
“My uncle was poisoned, he was poisoned. He shared a meal with a top APC chieftain from the South West (name withheld) a few days ago. Since then, he has not been himself. His death is planned. It is all about usurping his position.”
The 68-year-old former governor at the time of his death was the governorship flag bearer of the APC in Kogi. He is survived by wives and children. Prayers preceding his burial are ongoing presently and you can check out live updates on the burial proceedings
