14 ACTORS WHO REGRET THEIR ICONIC MOVIE ROLES
ROBERT PATTINSON
Wikia
Robert Pattinson's most famous role is
clearly that of Edward Cullen in the "Twilight" sagas. But the young
actor has often said he's not a fan of the series. He's never really
stated exactly why he doesn't like it but once he was quoted saying:
"He's a 108 year-old virgin, so he's obviously got some issues there."
CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER
Suggest
"The Sound of Music" is an icon of
cinema. It's one of the most beloved movies ever created...unless if
you're Plummer, who played Captain Von Trapp. The actor once referred to
the film as "The Sound of Mucus" and refuses to be a part of any cast
reunions.
HALLE BERRY
EMGN
At the start of the millennium, Halle
Berry was one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood. She was
on top of the world, but it seemed like it might all come crashing down
when in 2004 she starred in "Catwoman". The film was a huge bust and at
one point it seemed like it had ruined her career.
At the Razzie
Awards that year, Berry accepted her award by thanking Warner Bros. for
"casting [her] in this piece-of-shit, God-awful movie."
MICHELLE PFEIFFER
Suggest
Seeing how "Grease" took the world by
storm and it's songs are often the most quoted of movie music, Pfeiffer
was very excited when she was cast for "Grease 2", assuming it would be
just as big a hit. Sadly, it was far from it, and till this day Pfeiffer
hates being reminded of the movie, calling it a bad dream she wants to
forget.
BEN AFFLECK
RPP
Much like Halle Berry, Ben Affleck's
career was nearly ruined by a terrible superhero movie in the early
2000's. His flop was "Daredevil, in which he played a blind superhero by
that name. Ben has often bashed the film calling it a poorly made
mistake. Let's just hope that his next superhero flick won't be as
terrible, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice".
KATE WINSLET
VANITY FAIR
This might come as a shock, but Kate
Winslet has often voiced regret at her role in one of the highest
grossing films of all time, "Titanic". She says she's just sick of
people wanting to draw her like one of their French girls, after
famously being depicted nude in the film.
MATT DAMON
The Hollywood News
Matt Damon doesn't regret playing
legendary character Jason Bourne, but what he does regret is the third
film of the series, "The Bourne Ultimatum". He's called the script
"unreadable" and talked about how much he hated it.
KATHERINE HEIGL
Suggest
After comedy "Knocked Up" came out,
Katherine Heigl voiced her concern over how her role of Alison seemed
extremely sexist. After the film's release, she's been a lot more picky
with her roles in romantic comedies.
SHIA LEBEOUF
Suggest
Shia LeBeouf is remembered for
starring in the "Transformers" franchise, but the actor isn't a fan. In
fact, he doesnt seem like a fan of any of his films, also slamming
"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," and "Wall Street:
Money Never Sleeps."
CARRIE FISHER
Suggest
Carrie Fisher is a Goddess to millions
of "Star Wars" fans, but it turns out she doesn't agree with them. She
once said that "George Lucas ruined [her] life with his ridiculous
costuming". Guess she changed her mind since she is returning to her
role in the upcoming "Star Wars" movie.
GEORGE CLOONEY
Suggest
George Clooney isn't shy when it comes
to talking about his performance as Batman in the 1997 "Batman &
Robin." He feels like he nearly destroyed the character for good, seeing
how shockingly terrible the flick was.
JESSICA ALBA
Paramount Channel
Jessica Alba says she felt like
quitting the acting game during her second turn as the Invisible Woman
in "Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer."
MARK WAHLBERG
Suggest
If you've seen "The Happening" then you probably know why Mark Wahlberg hates it so much. Seriously, it's just bad.
SEAN CONNERY
livedoor
Every actor in Hollywood wants to be
James Bond, but Connery doesnt have happy memories from playing the
legendary spy. He has said he despised the low pay, long hours, and most
of all, the series' producer Albert R. Brocc
